LA VILLA STRANGIATO BASS & DRUMS isolated
RIP. Neil Peart best drummer who ever graced this sorry planet !
He pretty much started drumming to words. Now how in the Heck do you drum to words. I mean I love other drummers and such but he drums to words. I'm completely frickin confused and still ravel's my brain.
Cannabis brings out the hi hat. Just saying..
Neil's better than John Bonham I mean I even have guys that I put ahead of John Bonham like Terry Bozzio Vinnie Carl Palmer Bill bruford And Billy Cobham.
There never will be and there isn't today a drummer like him he was an absolute icon that overshadows any drummer I've ever seen or heard. I mean I still got other drummers that I absolutely drool over when I hear like Terry Bozzio Vinnie colaiuta Steve gadd Steve Smith bill bruford Billy Cobham Alan White Stewart Copeland Carl Palmer and Lenny White but there still not the caliber of Neil. Neil's in a category by himself and he's even better than John Bonham. I put three or four of those guys I named up there ahead of John Bonham like Terry Bozzio Vinny Carl Palmer and Bill bruford
0:45 for the actual start of sound
We haven't had pop music with groove that deep since the '80s. Rush, Fishbone, Police,...
Damn
you can hear two different solos at once during the solo section

Geddy is the unreal. Listening to this with headphones on & his tone is from another planet.
He’s the man 🙌🏼

So tight.
👏👏good job !
It just shows how amazing Alex Lifeson is when you can sit and enjoy listening to an isolated guitar track. 😯
To me neals drums sound the same every song same structure mister Big Bonham you never knew wete he was going to go . MB only had a 6 piece kit pert 120 piece kit and Bonham did more .
This lady's and gents, is a human beiing on the drums... WOWwww🦸♀🤩
Lee/lifeson struck gold when Peart auditioned to join rush, he raised the bar and they had to follow. I can enjoy this just as much as the full track. What can you say about him that hasn’t been said. RIP The Professor.
just because we can
Is that fast part doubled? Or does it have an extreme stereo widening effect on it?
The stars were in perfect alignment the day this was recorded.
Rock drummers: Ginger, Bonzo, Brufford, Paice and Peart.
You can’t mean in that order; you’re not putting Bonzo ahead of Peart? Surely?
In the Rock genre (in my personal taste) Bonzo sounds better (by far) then Peart. @@frankieRandle8779
Geddy playing his $200 pawn shop Fender Jazz Bass...
Holy compression!!!!!!
Would sound like total crap in the mix without a bit of compression. Not knocking Ged at all, aggresive fingerstyle is always a bit messy no matter who is doing it, it's the nature of the beast.
@@Farewelltokingzhe sounds tight as S to me.
This is soooo sick, now, then, 50 years from now, just incredible.
That was
Suprisingly a simple guitar part with a lot of very full inversions... delay, reverb... just ringing out...doesn't sound like a lot of overdubs just a lot of strings ringing out. Sounds like the same tone on the bridge pickup... he wasn't the most complicated player in the same way Pete Townshend couldn't be because someone has to hold the busy drums and busy bass together. Bery interesting.
Sounds like Nikki Sixx !
It's precise enough... but the man has no tone.
0:58 for MF DOOM fans
Let me use a food analogy: Alex's guitar on Rush records is like a lasagna with all it's multi-layered goodness. The rest of us guitar players, myself included, have to try our best to emulate a lasagna when all we have is a few pieces of fettuccini. What we create is still pasta, but it's no lasagna!
Love this idea. Must use more food analogies 😂
I like your analogy. Respect, from a guy who also makes unnecessary analogies 😅
The ending in the studio recording doesn’t go back to the major bass riff in the bridge. What version is this? Is this Geddy?
The very best part was between 0:00 & 9:34
Geddy Lee looks uncannily like the Mona Lisa here
Geddy Leesa? Tona Leesa?
The members of Rush where such nice people and made incredible music. Definitely in the top 10.
trifecta, they are!
Não quero adicionar nada
Great list!! Thanks for the compilation

So this is a mixture of his Howard Roberts Fusion and his 355,I thought it was all the Howard Roberts as that is what he used live
To sing like that? To play like that? Wow. But to do both. At the same time? LEGEND
You know what, I don't care what all the haters say, Rush has some of the best drumming I ever heard! I'm not trying to pick a fight with anyone
How come I cry every time I hear Neal playing? I turned 56 years old today and I cry like a baby when I think of what we’ve lost.
A year ago I found this and now it's my absolute favorite thing in the whole world.
Still using the RIC. The fret growl is RIC.
This is the greatest Bass tone in the History of Rock Music.
Wow.
You can tell that this was/is Alex's song (inspired by his experiments with psilocybin "monsters")... Dirk and Pratt were "just backing him up" for the most part.
You kill me father, Prepare to die
